When one reads about Elon Musk, it isn’t hard to imagine he is actually an alien, desperate to return to his home world. His ideas are borderline science fictional, but are usually followed by detailed rational plans. The man who has been exceptionally lucky a few times, remains a mystery – the book merely tells a well-written, neat story. While it reads like an Ayn Rand novel, life is rarely as smooth, especially when the stakes are that high. When it comes to Musk, we have two provisional theories: either he is an alien, either crashed on Earth or sent by his ilk to help us off it OR an ingenious, James-Bondian type villain on a mission to rule the galaxy.

Excerpts from the new book “Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future” – an amazing story of vision, courage, luck and perseverance.
